Lindsay Lohan Sent To Prison
Lindsay Lohan broke down in tears after she was sentenced to 90 days in prison for violating her probation.
The 'Mean Girls' star failed to attend court ordered alcohol education classes, which were part of her probation terms for two DUI offences in 2007.
Addressing comments from the Californian judge that she hadn't taken her probation seriously, Lohan tearfully told the court, “I was taking it seriously. I wasn't expecting any special treatment."
However, Judge Marsha Revel was unimpressed, stating, “I couldn't have been more clear (about my orders). There are no excuses.”
Lohan appeared startled when her sentence was handed out, and sobbed openly.
However, the Daily Mail claims that because of overcrowding and budget restraints, Lohan could be behind bars for only 22 days.
In 2007 she was arrested after crashing her Mercedes-Benz into a hedge, while two months later she was arrested once more on suspicion of drink driving.
She pleaded no contest to charges of reckless driving, drunken driving and being under the influence of cocaine.
Lohan spent just over an hour in jail, and was given three years probation.
The Hollywood star will begin her sentence on 20 July.

Snoop Dogg tried to hire the entire country of Liechtenstein for a video shoot.
The ambitious rapper approached country officials to have the run of the 62-square mile country found between Switzerland and Austria.
And it nearly came off too.
"We've had requests for palaces and villages but never one to hire the whole country before," said property lease agent Karl Schwaerzler.
He added that "it would have been possible"but the deal went south after Snoop's management "did not give us enough time." [The Mirror]

Kanye West Sued Over The Hit Song "Stronger"

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop star Kanye West is entangled in a new lawsuit that was recently filed over his hit 2007 single “Stronger,” from the hit album Graduation.
Songwriter/producer Vincent “Vince P.” Peters filed the lawsuit on Friday (June 25th) in United States District Court For the Northern District of Illinois.
Peters claims he wrote the track in 2006 and played it for John Monopoly, a manager/business associate of Kanye West, at his Chicago home on November 12th, 2006.
According to Peters, West recorded his own version of “Stronger” about seven months after a copy of the song was given to Monopoly.
Peters claims Kanye West copied significant portions of his song “Stronger” and incorporated them into his own version, which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
The Grammy Award-winning single has sold over 3 million copies, while the album Graduation has moved almost 2 million units.
According to iTunes, “Stronger” is also the 16th most downloaded song of all time.
Peters is seeking an undisclosed amount of damages and a trial by jury.

The 17-year-old star is preparing for the end of her Disney TV show 'Hannah Montana' but as she wants to continue working in movies and music, can't see the point in finishing her education yet.
She said: "My sister went to college for two years and then decided she wants to be a musician and now she is a musician.
"I just already know what I want to do and if there is ever a time where I want to go back, I can.
