Lindsay Lohan’s Weight Loss Was Due To An Addiction

Lindsay Lohan’s drastic weight loss was due to an addiction either to alcohol or drugs, her own father, Michael Lohan, tells Radar Online that his daughter is hooked on prescription pills. Michael also claims he’s speaking out now to the media because he feels an intervention must be staged for Lindsay, before she ends up like Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson, or DJ AM.

His daughter is no longer the person he knew while he was still married to his now-ex wife Dina Lohan, Michael reveals. Lindsay is abusing prescription drugs and they are not allowing her to be herself, slowly killing her personality and, at the same time, her career. The many “enablers” she has surrounded herself with in recent years don’t want him to help Lindsay, he further says, which is why he chose to make the addiction public in the media.

“I’m going to get her off the prescription drugs that she’s on. I hate it when people talk about illegal drug abuse... because it’s not just drinking and illegal drugs that kill you. Prescription drugs can destroy and kill a person and are sometimes harder to stop. Look at Heath Ledger and Michael Jackson. […] The Lindsay Lohan I lived with when I was married was a focused, intelligent, gifted girl that needed no prescription medication, no assistance from a therapist. Whoever the people are that came into her life and convinced her otherwise should be thrown in jail, because they’re the same type of people who are responsible for the deaths of Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson and DJ AM.” Michael Lohan explains for Radar.

According to him, the addiction to pills is also the reason why Lindsay can’t get a proper acting job right now, because it obviously interferes with her acting.

LADY GAGA has escaped punishment after swearing on live U.S. TV on Saturday (03Oct09) - because the cuss was heard during a "safe harbour" period.
The controversial singer came under fire for singing the word "s**t" while performing her hit Paparazzi on comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live, which was heard without censoring on the East Coast.
But TV bosses at the programme and network NBC will not be fined for Gaga's indiscretion - because she belted out the four-letter word during a time in scheduling when mature content is permissible.
According to U.S. TV watchdogs at the Federal Communications Commission, action cannot be taken on indecent or profane speech broadcast between the hours of 10pm and 6am.

Man Arrested in ESPN Reporter Nude Video Case

LOS ANGELES – A Chicago-area man arrested at O'Hare airport who is accused of taping surreptitious nude videos of ESPN reporter Erin Andrews was due to appear in federal court late Saturday morning, authorities said.

Michael David Barrett was arrested Friday night as he arrived on a flight from Buffalo, N.Y., the FBI said. He faces federal charges of interstate stalking for taking the videos, trying to sell them to celebrity Web site TMZ and posting the videos online, the FBI said in a statement.

Several TV networks and newspapers aired brief clips or printed screen grabs from the videos in July.

Andrews thanked FBI agents and federal prosecutors for their work on the arrest and said she hoped the case will eventually help others who have been similarly victimized.

"For my part, I will make every effort to strengthen the laws on a State and Federal level to better protect victims of criminal stalking," she said in a statement early Saturday.

The charges against Barrett were filed in Los Angeles, where TMZ is based and where Andrews first became aware of the videos. She is identified in the federal complaint as E.A.
