Rapper LIL WAYNE has given up his thirst for promethazine-codeine syrup ahead of his upcoming 12-month jail stint, but insists he'll always be hooked on marijuana.
The hip-hop star has long been associated with the cough syrup-type drink he once dubbed 'drank' - but he claims he no longer uses the liquid to get high.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I haven't f**ked with that in a long time," insisting he quits in May 2009.
But there's one high he'll never give up: "I smoke weed all day. I'm a very successful addict.

Mel Gibson swears on live TV

Mel Gibson has been caught calling a TV presenter an "a**hole" on live TV.

The 'Braveheart' star was being quizzed over satellite link by US presenter Dean Richards over his infamous drunken anti-Semitic rant at a policewoman.

Gibson, who is promoting his comeback movie Edge of Darkness, shied away from the questions, telling Richards: "That's almost four years, dude. I've moved on, I guess you haven't."

When Richards finished the interview, Gibson was heard muttering, "a**hole" before his microphone was turned off.

In an inspired moment of PR deflection, his publicist has claimed Gibson actually made the foul-mouthed comment to him, as he had been "pulling faces" at the actor from behind the camera.

P.Diddy Dragged Into J.Lo Case

Aides to Jennifer Lopezs ex-husband, Ojani Noa, say they want to quiz Sean "Puffy" Combs in open court on whether he filmed a sex tape with the singer.
Ed Meyer, Noa's business manager, told us he was ready to call Combs as a witness in court proceedings and quiz him on the possible existence of an alleged sex tape of the pair, who dated for over two years until 2001. Meyer also said he intended to put J.Lo on the witness stand and ask her about her sexuality since she was allegedly seen kissing a woman in another video filmed more than a decade ago.

The move is part of a legal battle over Noa's attempt to release a video he shot of J.Lo when they were married for a year in 1997. J.Lo's lawyers have gotten an injunction blocking the release on the basis that the video is private and personal. Meyer insists the footage is not overtly sexual, containing nothing more than images of the star kissing a woman and performing a lap dance.

Meyer told Page Six, "Ojani's footage is not a sex tape. In addition to kissing women, there are points where she's lap dancing Ojani [and others]. All with her clothes on. We're trying to establish that it's not a sex tape and therefore usable in Ojani's movie."

Meyer says he wants to call Combs to attempt to illustrate any differences between videos he and Lopez may have made and the one Noa possesses. Meyer said, "We will ask: Is there a sex tape between [him] and Lopez, and what does it involve?"

There is no proof the rumored J.Lo and Puffy sex tape exists.

Madonna Splits From Jesus?

Madonna has split from her toy-boy lover Jesus Luz, according to a new report. The Material Girl is said to be single again after the Brazilian underwear model called off their relationship, citing their age difference and busy schedules, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The newspaper alleges, "It not only was totally amicable, but it was Luz who initiated the split. Apparently, the 23-year-old Brazilian realized their age difference (she's 51) and overall lack of mutual interests nixed a long-term relationship."

Rip Torn Arrested After Drunken Bank Break-In

Actor Rip Torn was arrested on Friday night after he allegedly broke into a Connecticut bank with a loaded gun.

Police allegedly found the Men in Black star lying on the floor of the Litchfield Bancorp building clutching a loaded revolver.

Torn - real name Elmore Rual Torn - is said to have been drunk at the time of his arrest, and has been charged with a string of offenses including carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief.

He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond and is due in court on Monday.
