Lil Wayne makes his living as the bestselling rapper on the planet, but while serving his year-long jail sentence at New York’s Rikers Island, Weezy has entirely new job: keeping watch over suicidal inmates. Antonia “Toya” Johnson, the mother of one of Wayne’s children, tell Us Weekly, “Wayne has a job. They got him on suicide watch for other prisoners. He watches the crazy prisoners and makes sure they don’t kill themselves.” Finding himself in a 9-to-5, albeit in prison, Weezy shares a similar complaint with much of the working population. “He likes the job even though they don’t pay him much,” Toya says of the Young Money multimillionaire.

Whitney Houston Hospitalised

Whitney Houston has been admitted to hospital in France leaving her live comeback in tatters, according to reports.

The US pop diva was due to kick off the long-awaited European leg of her world tour this week, before playing her first dates in Britain in over a decade.

However, yesterday's opening show in Paris was cancelled on doctor's orders, with the singer said to be suffering from an "upper respiratory ailment".

It has now been claimed that Houston, who recently emerged from a long-running series of personal problems, including alleged drug addiction, is being treated in the French capital.

News agency Agence France-Presse says a member of the star's entourage believes she is suffering from nose and throat problems and may have developed an infection.

It has now been announced that three UK dates on the tour, which was panned by critics and fans on the opening leg in Australia earlier this year, have been postponed.

Lindsay Lohan's Dad To Wed Former Reporter

LINDSAY LOHAN's estranged father is to wed the former tabloid reporter who helped nurse him through a recent health scare.
Michael Lohan and girlfriend Kate Major announced their engagement on Tuesday (06Apr10) after dating for less than six months.
Ironically, Major previously dated Lohan's friend,reality TV star Jon Gosselin.
The journalist quit her job at U.S. publication the Star after becoming smitten with the former Jon & Kate Plus Eight star.
Lohan tells X17online.com that his new fiancee has been with him through lots of tough times.
He explains, "Kate has been by me through all the stuff with Lindsay and trying to get help for her; she was by my side when I had my heart attack; and she just always supports me.
"We flew down to Florida so I could ask her father for her hand in marriage and he gave me his blessing. I know I want to be with her for the rest of our lives."

Tiger Woods Admits He Lied And Deceived

Tiger Woods took full responsibility for the marital infidelities which led to his startling fall from grace and admitted he had lied and deceived a lot of people.

"I lied to a lot of people, deceived a lot of people," the American world number one, who sported a goatee and wore a gray, yellow, pink and white-striped shirt and black trousers, told a packed news conference.
"I fooled myself as well. The full magnitude of it, it's pretty brutal."
Speaking before his comeback to competition at the Masters on Thursday, Woods said his Swedish wife Elin would not be attending the tournament.
He also pledged to give the game more respect in the future and said he would to try to tone down his occasional bad language and emotional outbursts out on the course.
Woods has not played professional golf since winning the Australian Masters on November 15 following revelations that he had had a string of extra-marital affairs.
"Coming into today I didn't know what to expect with regards to the reception," Woods said. "I tell you what the galleries couldn't have been nicer.
"The encouragement, it blew me away," added Woods who made noticeable efforts to engage with the fans. "The people here over the years are extremely respectful but today was something that touched my heart pretty good."
Woods played 18 holes in practice with 1992 Masters champion Fred Couples earlier in the day, and the pair were joined for the last six holes by 2003 US Open champion Jim Furyk.
Asked about his occasional temperamental on-course behaviour, he replied: "I'm going to try to not to get as hot, but that means I won't be as exuberant.
"I made a decision to try and tone down my negative outbursts and be more respectful of the game."
The 14-times Major champion also promised to focus much more on his life away from the course.

Dr Conrad Murray's Defense Claims Michael Jackson Killed Himself

TMZ has learned Dr. Conrad Murray's legal defense is that Michael Jackson gave himself the fatal dose of Propofol.

Multiple sources familiar with the strategy tell TMZ the defense argument goes like this:

- At around 10:50 AM, Dr. Murray gave Jackson 25 mg of Propofol from a 20 ml bottle -- that's only about 1/8 of the bottle.

- The dose Dr. Murray administered would keep someone asleep for only 5 to 10 minutes, But the Propofol, along with the Ativan and Versed that was already in MJ's system, had a synergistic effect that put Jackson to sleep for a longer period of time.

- For the next hour, Dr. Murray stayed in the room and was on the phone for much of the time. Dr. Murray didn't leave the room to make the calls because MJ liked activity in the room, regularly sleeping with the lights on and cartoons blaring on the TV.

- At around noon, Dr. Murray left the room for approximately two minutes to go to the bathroom. While he was gone, the defense believes Jackson suddenly awakened and was frustrated he had spent nearly 9 hours trying in vain to sleep. The defense theory -- Jackson took the 20 ml bottle of Propofol and self-injected the remaining contents through the IV, causing a massive overdose that stopped his heart.

- Dr. Murray walked back in the room and saw Jackson with his eyes open and pupils dilated. Dr. Murray dropped the phone (he was speaking with his girlfriend) and began administering CPR.

The defense will argue Michael Jackson was a long-time Propofol addict -- something TMZ first reported shortly after the singer's death. As one source said, Jackson liked the sensation of Propofol being administered by IV, adding, "Michael liked to push it."

L.A. County Coroner's investigators took a picture in the room, showing an empty Propofol bottle on the floor, underneath the nightstand by Jackson's bed. The defense will argue Jackson grabbed the bottle from the nightstand, injected himself and then dropped the bottle.

Remember, law enforcement believes Dr. Murray hid bottles of Propofol before paramedics arrived. The defense will argue ... if Dr. Murray was really hiding Propofol, he would have removed the empty bottle under the nightstand that caused Jackson's death.

Erykah Badu Charged Over Naked Video Shoot

Erykah Badu has been charged for stripping off in a music video shoot.

Sergeant Warren Mitchell said, "Having a fact witness that was there, is what let us file the charges,"

"After much discussion, we feel that these charges best fit her conduct. She disrobed in a public place without regard to individuals and small children who were close by."

Erykah may have to paying a fine of up to $500.

Tiger Woods' Teacher Calls Him Out

Tiger Woods' kindergarten teacher is demanding an apology from the shamed sports star, amid accusations she failed to protect him from racist bullies as a child.

In 2005, Woods - who is of Caucasian, Black, American Indian, and Asian ancestry - recalled a traumatic incident that first made him aware of his racial identity in an interview he gave for Charles Barkley's 2005 book "Who's Afraid of a Large Black Man?"

He said: "A group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word 'nigger' on me, and threw rocks at me. That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn't do much of anything."

But the teacher, Maureen Decker, insists "no such incident ever occurred" under her care, and organized a press conference on Friday to address the claims.
 
Decker's attorney Gloria Allred called for Woods to apologize publicly and privately: "No teacher should ever be treated in such a callous and unfair manner especially one such as Ms. Decker... We think it's time for Tiger Woods to do the right thing which is to retract the statement and apologize to Ms. Decker."

Virginia Beach Police Not Happy With 50 Cent April Fools Joke

Police in Virginia beach are upset with a local radio station’s April Fool’s Day joke involving superstar rapper 50 Cent.

Radio station Z104 made an announcement claiming that 50 Cent was shooting a video at Mount Trashmore tonight.

The announcement set off a frenzy of speculation on Twitter and Facebook, so much that the City of Virginia Beach posted a message on their Twitter page debunking the rumor.

"Hi folks! 50 Cent will NOT be @ Mt. Trashmore this evening,” the City of Virginia Beach Tweeted. “The supposed video shoot was an April Fool's Day prank by a local radio station."

50 Cent is actually in Russia, preparing for two high profile gigs at Moscow’s largest venue, the Olympiisky Arena.
